Race 1 - Buggy: Boag Dominates from the Off
And that's the chequered flag for our first buggy race of the evening! Bill Boag has put in a sensational performance, leading from start to finish and taking maximum points. He was truly in a class of his own out there, setting the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 13.19 seconds and maintaining a comfortable gap to the chasing pack throughout. He completed 17 laps in total, a testament to his consistent speed and control on the polished SMCC floor.
Holly Weaver fought hard to secure second place, crossing the line having completed 15 laps. She held a strong second position for the entire duration of her race. Ben Clark looked set for a podium for much of the race, holding third place for all 12 of his laps, but unfortunately he was unable to complete the full race distance. Mark Walkden and Peter McKerrow completed the top five, finishing 4th and 5th respectively, with Walkden picking up his pace in the mid-race laps to move up to fourth.
