Race 3 - Touring Car Recap
What a drive from Steve Jenner in this evening's Touring Car encounter! From the moment the tone sounded, Jenner was in a class of his own, taking the lead on lap one and holding it all the way to the chequered flag. He set the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 12.76 seconds, and maintained a commanding gap throughout, never dropping below the lead.
Behind Jenner, Ian Cowe held a consistent second position for the entire 18 laps. While he couldn't match Jenner's pace, Cowe drove a solid race, managing his pace effectively to secure a comfortable runner-up finish. The real battle for the final podium spot raged further back. James Weaver initially held third, but after lap 15, his progress stalled and he was unable to complete the race distance. This allowed Martin Timms, who ran in fourth for the duration, to secure third place after completing 14 laps. Weaver finished the race in third position on lap count, albeit some 37 seconds behind the leader when his race concluded.
