What a night of racing we've had here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club for Round 3 of the 2026 Summer Championship! In the Touring Car main event, it was Ian Cowe who ultimately took the chequered flag. He battled back after losing the lead on lap 7 to Steve Jenner, eventually reclaiming P1 on the very last lap of the race to win by a mere 0.16 seconds. Steve Jenner led for a significant portion of the race, showing blistering pace, but couldn't quite hold on for the win.
James Weaver put in a strong effort for much of the race, holding a consistent third position for the first 14 laps. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete the full race distance and finished third on laps completed. Adam Gammage showed flashes of speed, finishing fourth having completed 8 laps, with Martin Timms completing just one lap before retiring.
The fastest lap of the entire race belonged to the victor, Ian Cowe, with an impressive 12.02 seconds. This was a hard-fought race and a fantastic spectacle for all in attendance. Well done to all the drivers!
