2026 Summer Championship - Round 3: Race 3 Touring Car
What a display from Steve Jenner in Race 3 tonight at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! After an early battle for the lead, Jenner took command on lap 12 and held on resolutely to take the win, completing 19 laps in 243.08 seconds. James Weaver pushed Jenner all the way, finishing just 9.4 seconds behind after a race-long chase. Weaver’s consistency was outstanding, and he set the fastest lap of the race with a scorching 11.67 seconds.
The lead changed hands multiple times in the opening laps, a real testament to the close racing we're seeing this season. Ian Cowe was in the thick of it, leading from lap 6 to lap 7, and again from lap 8 to lap 11. Despite a strong mid-race pace that saw him holding the lead, Cowe ultimately completed 18 laps to finish in third position. Adam Gammage showed good pace but struggled to maintain it, eventually finishing fourth after completing 17 laps. Martin Timms unfortunately retired early and did not record a lap.
