What a race we've just witnessed here at Sevenoaks Model Car Club for Round 7 of the Summer Championship! George Cordier has taken a commanding victory in the Tamiya Tourers, a fantastic drive that saw him start in third place and steadily make his way to the front. He took the lead on lap seven from Teddy Turner, and once he was there, he didn't look back, setting the fastest lap of the race with an 18.84-second run and ultimately finishing with a gap of over 16 seconds.
Damian McLean fought hard, initially holding second position before dropping back. However, he showed real grit, clawing his way back up to take second place on the road. He completed 11 laps, just shy of George's total, but a superb effort to secure the runner-up spot. Teddy Turner, who led the early laps, eventually finished in third. Despite a significant time loss on lap seven, Teddy battled back to complete 11 laps and round out the podium.
Sophie Cowe and Robert Bevan completed the top five. Sophie finished in fourth, completing 8 laps, while Robert took fifth after 7 laps. A truly exciting Tamiya Tourers encounter, and well done to George Cordier on a well-deserved win!
