Race 3 - Touring Car Recap
What a sensational finish to the Touring Car race tonight! It was a real scrap at the front, with James Weaver ultimately taking the win by just 1.28 seconds from Ian Cowe. Cowe dominated the early laps, leading from lap one until lap four when Weaver made his move. The lead swapped again on lap nine as Cowe fought back, but Weaver made a decisive pass on lap fourteen, holding on to the chequered flag. James Weaver also set the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 13.73 seconds.
Tim Webb put in a strong, consistent drive to secure third place, finishing 6.86 seconds behind the leader. Although he was never in contention for the win, Webb maintained his third position from lap three onwards. Behind him, Ian Webb brought his car home in fourth, completing 15 laps. Martin Timms, running his own race, finished fifth, completing 13 laps.
