Tamiya Tourers: Webb Dominates Round 7
Tim Webb took a commanding victory in the Tamiya Tourers at Sevenoaks Model Car Club's Summer Championship Round 7. From the moment the lights went out, Webb was in a class of his own, leading every single lap of the race. He set the fastest lap of the entire meeting with a blistering 15.1 seconds, showing consistent pace throughout.
Jimmy Zepp did well to secure second place. He held station in P2 for the entire race, never quite able to close the gap to the leader but maintaining a solid margin over the rest of the field. He finished the race 5.42 seconds behind Webb after 16 laps.
The battle for the final podium spot was a more dynamic affair. Martin Timms initially took third, but Oscar Pay worked his way up to P3 by lap 4. However, Timms fought back, retaking the position and holding it until lap 13 when he retired. Pay also retired on lap 11, leaving the remaining drivers to complete the race. Timms ultimately finished third, despite a significant gap to the leaders, having completed 13 laps.
