The buggy class at Sevenoaks Model Car Club delivered an electrifying evening of racing in the Summer Championship. Nick Stokes was in a class of his own, taking a dominant victory. He controlled the race from the very start, leading every single lap and setting the fastest lap of the race with an impressive 13.97 seconds. Nick finished a full 17.14 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor, a testament to his consistent pace.
Behind Nick, the battle for the remaining podium spots was a hard-fought affair. Holly Weaver ultimately secured second place, completing 16 laps and holding off a charging Ben Clark. Ben, starting in fifth, showed great determination to climb two places and take third on the podium, finishing just ahead of Mark Walkden and Tom Jones. Mark and Tom both completed 13 and 12 laps respectively, showing the challenging nature of the track for some of our drivers.
While Nick Stokes was untouchable at the front, the efforts of Holly Weaver and Ben Clark to secure their podium positions were truly the stories of this race. Ben's consistent gains throughout the laps, improving his track position steadily after lap one, were particularly noteworthy. A fantastic conclusion to Race 2 of the buggy championship.
