Race 3 - Touring Car Recap
What a display from Ian Cowe in Race 3 tonight! He absolutely dominated the Touring Car class, leading every single lap of the 17-lap encounter. His fastest lap of 13.61 seconds set the benchmark for the entire field, and he crossed the line a comfortable winner.
Behind Cowe, the battle for second was a bit more contained. Tim Webb held a strong second place throughout the race, consistently pulling away from the rest of the field. He finished a full 9.82 seconds ahead of third-placed Ian Webb, who had a more eventful race. Ian Webb spent most of the race in third but dropped to fourth briefly on lap 3 before fighting back. Unfortunately, a slower final lap meant he completed one fewer lap than the leaders, finishing on 16 laps.
Further back, Martin Timms showed some pace, moving up to third on lap 9 after a strong run, but a couple of slower laps saw him slip back to fourth. James Weaver also showed flashes of speed, holding third place for a few laps around the middle of the race, but ultimately retired on lap 10. Cowe was in a class of his own tonight, a truly masterful performance.
