What a finish to Race 5 at the Sevenoaks Model Car Club's Summer Championship! Tim Webb takes the win, completing 16 laps in a hard-fought 256.75 seconds. It wasn't a lights-to-flag victory for Tim, however. Jimmy Zepp held the lead for the opening four laps before Tim made a move on lap 5. Jimmy, never one to give up, fought back to reclaim the lead on lap 6. The lead swapped once more on lap 9, with Tim ultimately holding on to the front for the remainder of the race. His fastest lap of 14.61 seconds was also the quickest of the entire race, a testament to his pace.
Jimmy Zepp finishes a very close second, just 3.84 seconds behind Tim after 15 laps. He demonstrated strong consistency throughout, with only a 0.91 second standard deviation on his lap times. Martin Timms rounds out the podium, finishing third with 14 laps completed. He showed great consistency too, with the tightest standard deviation of all drivers at just 0.64 seconds, though he was ultimately unable to match the pace of Webb and Zepp. Oscar Pay had a shorter race, completing 5 laps.
