2026 Summer Championship - Round 8: Buggy Race 2 Recap
What a drive from Nick Stokes in Race 2 of the Buggy class tonight! From the moment the lights went out, Nick was in a class of his own, leading every single lap of the 17-lap encounter. His consistency was remarkable, posting a fastest lap of 13.69 seconds on lap 13 and never relinquishing the lead. He crossed the line with a comfortable margin to secure the win.
Behind the dominant leader, the battle for the remaining podium places was intense. Ian Foxwell fought hard, eventually finishing in second place after completing 16 laps. Just behind him, James Campbell also managed 16 laps to round out the podium in third. It was a strong showing from both, pushing each other all the way. Tom Jones, meanwhile, finished fourth with 14 laps completed, just ahead of Alan Ratcliffe who clawed his way up to fifth from a starting position of seventh.
The field saw a few retirements, but the pace at the front was blistering. Nick Stokes' flawless run sets a high bar, and the fight for the subsequent positions promises more excitement as the championship progresses. Congratulations to Nick on a superb victory!
