Tamiya Tourers Battle It Out at Round 8
What a fantastic display of Tamiya Tourer racing we witnessed tonight for Round 8 of the 2026 Summer Championship! Martin Timms was in a class of his own, absolutely dominating the field from start to finish. He led every single lap of the race, setting the fastest lap of the event with an incredible 15.64 seconds. Martin's consistency was remarkable, maintaining his lead throughout the entire 15 laps he completed.
Behind the flying Martin, the real action was unfolding. Oscar Pay, starting from fourth on the grid, put in a sterling performance to climb through the field. He managed to secure second place, gaining two positions by the chequered flag. Glen Liddle, who initially held a strong second, finished third, completing 12 laps. Donna Belton-Timms rounded out the finishers in fourth, also completing 10 laps.
The final gap between Martin and Oscar was just 2.14 seconds, a testament to Oscar's determined drive to the runner-up spot. Despite the gap, the closing laps saw Oscar pushing hard to try and make up ground, but Martin's unshakeable pace saw him take a well-deserved victory. Glen Liddle finished a further 16.59 seconds behind the leader. A brilliant race for all involved!
