What a race we've just witnessed in the Tamiya Tourers at the Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Mark Shepherd has taken the win, but it was a hard-fought battle all the way. He came through from second on lap 2 to lead, only for Tim Webb to snatch it back on lap 3. The lead then changed hands again on lap 4, with Mark K Shepherd making a move, but Tim Webb was back in front by lap 5. The lead swapped for the final time on lap 15, seeing Mark Shepherd take control and hold it to the chequered flag, winning by a mere 0.18 seconds.
Tim Webb delivered a stellar performance, leading for large chunks of the race and setting a blistering pace. He held the lead from lap 5 through to lap 14, looking strong throughout. Mark K Shepherd showed flashes of brilliance, even taking the lead on lap 4, but couldn't maintain that position, ultimately finishing third. Jimmy Zepp held a consistent fourth position for most of the race, bringing his car home in that spot. George Cordier was unfortunately unable to complete the distance, finishing on lap 9.
Mark Shepherd's victory was capped off with the fastest lap of the race, a superb 14.530 seconds, proving his pace when it counted. A fantastic display of driving from all involved tonight!
