Summer Championship Round 8: Short Course Trucks Deliver Drama!
What a finish we've just witnessed in Race 1 of the Short Course Trucks at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! James Campbell has taken a dominant victory, leading every single lap from lights out to the chequered flag. His consistent pace, averaging 16.056 seconds per lap, kept the chasing pack at bay, finishing with a commanding 16 laps completed.
Behind Campbell, the real battle raged. Chris Luckett put in a stellar drive to snatch second place, climbing an impressive three spots from his starting grid position. He completed 15 laps, holding off a strong challenge from Alan Culham, who finished a close third on the same number of laps. It was a tense final few laps as Luckett managed to secure the runner-up spot by a margin of 12.45 seconds over Culham.
Elsewhere, Tim Halstead clocked the fastest lap of the entire race with a blistering 14.830 seconds, showing flashes of real speed. Despite this, he finished fourth, completing 14 laps. Toby Halstead came home in fifth, followed by Keith Griggs and Andrew Boakes rounding out the field. A fantastic display of racing from all the drivers tonight!
