Tamiya Tourers: Timms Dominates Round 8
Martin Timms took a commanding victory in Race 5 of the 2026 Summer Championship, Round 8. From the moment the lights went out, Timms was in a class of his own, leading every single lap of the 15-lap encounter. He set the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 15.47-second run and maintained a consistent pace throughout, ultimately crossing the line over three seconds ahead of the competition.
Glen Liddle secured a strong second place, finishing 14 laps to Timms' 15. Liddle consistently ran in second from lap one, showing good pace to pull away from the rest of the field. His race was marked by some variable lap times, but he held on to claim the runner-up spot.
The battle for the final podium position was a more intricate affair. Oscar Pay was running a solid third for much of the race. However, Donna Belton-Timms made a charge, moving up to third on lap seven. Pay fought back, reclaiming third on lap eight. Despite this, Pay ultimately ran out of laps, finishing the race in third position having completed 12 laps, just ahead of Belton-Timms who finished fourth on 11 laps.
