What a display from Nick Stokes in Race 2 of the Buggy class at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Stokes absolutely dominated, leading every single lap from lights out to the chequered flag. He was in a class of his own out there on the polished hall floor, pulling away consistently and never relinquishing the lead. It was a masterclass in control and pace.
Behind the charging leader, Holly Weaver and James Campbell were locked in a determined battle for second. Weaver held the position for much of the race, but Campbell, despite a slower lap 2 where he dropped to seventh, fought back valiantly. He managed to reclaim third by lap 3 and stayed there, chasing Weaver all the way. Ian Foxwell also showed blistering pace, setting the fastest lap of the race at a scorching 13.41 seconds on lap 16, but it wasn't quite enough to reel in the leaders.
In the end, Nick Stokes took the win, a full 17.73 seconds ahead of Holly Weaver, who secured a strong second place. James Campbell rounded out the podium in third, just shy of Weaver's pace but holding off the rest of the field. It’s great to see such close competition after the leader’s dominant performance.
