2026 Summer Championship - Round 8: Tamiya Tourers Race 5 Recap
What a finish to Race 5 of the Tamiya Tourers at Sevenoaks Model Car Club! Martin Timms takes the win, but only after a race-long battle for the lead. Glen Liddle held the top spot on laps 2, 6 and 7, before Martin Timms fought back to reclaim it. Martin then held on, securing the lead from lap 8 onwards to the checkered flag, ultimately winning by 7.68 seconds.
Oscar Pay drove a strong race to take second place, finishing 13 laps to Martin's 14. He maintained a consistent position, mostly running second or third throughout, and never dropping lower than third. Donna Belton-Timms completed the podium, finishing third on 11 laps.
The race was incredibly dynamic, with multiple lead changes at the sharp end. Martin Timms also set the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 15.27 seconds, showcasing his pace. Glen Liddle, despite a strong showing and leading for a significant portion, ultimately finished fourth, a lap down.
